Are Luxury Cars Safer than Regular Cars?
Car safety has expanded over the years with the introduction of numerous life-saving safety systems such as anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and seatbelts. Whilst these features have all been standard on cars of all price ranges for many years now, there are some features that are exclusive to more premium models. That’s why in this article we’re asking the question: are luxury cars safer than regular ones?
Luxury cars are traditionally known as some of the safest vehicles on the market as they have been designed to avoid crashes and offer more advanced safety and driver assist systems. More often than not, luxury vehicles have a higher rating for safety than others.
Cars for sale in the UK would have been given a car safety rating by Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) which helps give consumers the ability to see which are the safest vehicles to buy.
Euro NCAP is an independent organisation which puts vehicles through a wide range of crash tests and provides ratings in four critical areas: adult occupation protection, child occupation protection, vulnerable road user protection and safety assistance. Safety assistance covers all areas including the newer assistance and convenience safety technology.
